I've got some mixed feelings on this entire line.
The T-54 was fun, good little starting tank for people to get used to the Russian MBT line. Moving up to the T-62, this tank really feels like the sweet spot in the entire line. Able to tank some hits, do some good damage, and actually bounce rounds.
After that it all really feels like it's gone down hill. I am not sure if it's a bug in the model, armor, or what the deal is, but the entire tank feels like paper along the rest of the line. Couldn't bounce a shot if I paid Obsidian to make it happen.
I come from WoT so I'm still in the mentality that the turret on Russian tanks were supposed to be really solid and able to take some hits. Something I need to get around, but it does feel like these turrets aren't up to snuff.
I know we're still working on grinding out our Tier 8s so we're not all up to code on the best way to play this line, going for the T-90 first, does anyone have suggestions on how to better play the T series?
Thanks!

I personally love the T-series. Like the Panther/E50, they are the sexiest tanks in the game- by far. However- they are a little tricky to play. I try to keep moving at all times. Russian accuracy is not great, so shooting and scooting are my preferred tactics. Move-stop (wait for reticle)-shoot-move. Keep the lower plate covered/hull down if possible. This is a known weak point on the Russian line and is not really fixed until the T90 (the lower glacis is harder to hit on that tank). Go with the scouts. View range is poor- let them spot for you. There is a large difference in this game around Tier 6 when the ERA/Cage/APS starts showing up. Missles are a lot less fun and I would argue almost not worth carrying in the T90 (for example). By the time you load/shoot and wait for the APS to neutralize, you could have taken a more useful shot with AP. Multi- missle systems (Terminator/VBL) are better- first shot is almost always wasted and if the target is unable to reach cover by the time you are ready for the second shot, you can cause damage. I would argue that the T90 in this case (with the slow reload) would probably infrequently get a good second missle shot. I am finally back in my T72 and looking forward to the 72A and 80. T90 seems a long way off, but I will probably spend gold/Free XP to help. Unlocking the gun and the propellant is valuable on all your vehicles. Like the WOT lines, the higher tiers (starting with about the T64) are difficult to play in stock form. I have started playing a lot more PVE for my daily double (more XP generally with a win). I am also free XPing the guns/ammo when I first get the tank- I think this is the most important upgrade you can do. Play the line for the propellant. Play it for the sex appeal. Play it because nothing blows the turret off in such a spectacular fashion as the Russina MBT's when you die. But most of all- play it because you are man enough. Imagine you are Vladimir Putin up there in the commanders cup-holder with your shirt off. BRING IT!

T series is good up to T-64 imho and then you just have to suffer through T-72/T-72A. It picks up at T-80. T-80 has insanely good gun and bounces alot of shots. It is so satisfying to shoot M1 Abrams in the lower plate and pen! But then again, i am a biased Russian

I have enjoyed the T series much better than the Abrams line by far. I think the 72 and 72a will just require an adjustment to playstyle. Something we should all be capable of or at least be working on.

A new addition to my garage.... wish there were more people playing Tier 9 I don't understand, I can't get any pretty girls to climb on my T80 even when I turn it into a U-boat! Congratulations, someday I hope to have one too!
